Chris Weidman, UFC middleweight champion, used social media to tease his next opponent, Vitor belfort, who he will face on December 6th in a fight where the belt will be at stake.
In your account at Instagram, the North American posted an old photo of Belfort next to a recent image, of a interview given to the program “UFC Tonight”, from the North American broadcaster “FOX Sports”. Considering that, in his opinion, Belfort appears to be weaker than he used to be, Weidman nudged the Brazilian.
“Wait a minute, is this what happens when you exchange TRT for TNT?”, he joked, mentioning an old Brazilian statement since he was forced to stop using testosterone replacement therapy. However, it is worth remembering that the image of the left is from the time of its fight against Dan Henderson, in November last year, when Belfort played in the light heavyweight division (up to 93 kg), the top category in relation to the middleweight category (up to 84 kg), in which he is used to fighting.
Weidman has been critical of Belfort since the Brazilian used the treatment, which was banned by the Nevada Athletic Commission at the beginning of the year. In one of the last times he spoke on the subject, the champion stated that Belfort “he looked like a horse with so much testosterone”.
The fight between Weidman and Belfort will be the main attraction of UFC 181, in Las Vegas (USA). It will be the champion's fourth consecutive fight against Brazilians, as he comes from two victories over Anderson Silva and one about Lyoto Machida.
