Alistair Overeem attributes his two UFC losses to the Blackzilians team

Dutchman says that, in the team of Vitor Belfort and Rashad Evans, he did not have the best resources to prepare

alistair overeem once again criticized his former academy, Blackzilians, attributing his two defeats suffered in the UFC to the team, to Antonio Pezão and Travis Browne. The Dutchman, who had a troubled departure from the team, claimed that he did not have the best training resources and, therefore, suffered both defeats.

Located in the city of Boca Raton, in the North American state of Florida, Blackzilians was founded in 2011 and has prominent names in international MMA, such as Vitor belfort, Rashad evans, Anthony Johnson and Eddie Alvarez. Overeem left the Blackzilians months before his fight against Frank mir, at UFC 169, carrying out his training in Thailand.

The former Strikeforce champion, who currently trains at Greg Jackson's gym, spoke about the subject to the Indian website “Sportskeeda”: “I really attribute my defeats to my team at the time, because you need to have good sparring partners, good coaches. who take care of the preparation, the training regime. And I think I was without that in my two defeats,” he said.

Overeem's next fight in the UFC will be on September 5th, at UFC Fight Night 50, when he will face Ben Rothwell.
