Protagonists of the main duel of MMA Super Heroes 5, which takes place this Saturday (02), at the Ginásio Mané Garrincha, in São Paulo, Leandro Buscapé and Gilson Lomanto did not have any major problems with the feared scales but they had a very tense look at the official weigh-in of this morning. Lomanto weighed 70,5 kg and “Buscapé” reached the category limit with 70,7 kg and confirmed the duel that could define the course of the tournament's lightweight division.
In the second most important duel of the show, Renata Baldan had no trouble reaching 51,8kg, but her opponent, Aline Sattelmayer, had to sweat to reach the weight, and only on the second attempt did she reach 52,6kg.
The negative note was due to the cancellation of the duel between Vitor “Negão” and Thiago “Pará” Lopes. The loss occurred due to the failure of athlete Thiago “Pará” to lose weight, who was unable to reach the limit for the welterweight category.
As a result, the tournament card had seven fights in total. MMA Super Heroes 5 will be broadcast live throughout Brazil, exclusively on Canal Esporte Interativo, starting at 21pm.
