Gleison Tibau will take part in the co-main fight of UFC Brasília against a Polish player

Brazilian with record number of appearances in Ultimate will face Piotr Hallmann, who already defeated Massaranduba in Brazil

The UFC announced, this Tuesday (29), that the co-main fight of UFC Fight Night 51, in Brasília, will be between lightweights Gleison Tibau and Piotr Hallmann. The event will take place on September 13th, at the Nilson Nelson gym.

A Brazilian who holds the record for the number of fights in the UFC (22) and the athlete with the most victories in the history of the division under 70 kg (14), Tibau is coming off a triumph over Pat Healy at UFC Fight Night 45, held on July 16th. This will be Tibau's third fight in Brazil for Ultimate, as he defeated Francisco Massaranduba at UFC 153 (Rio de Janeiro, RJ) and John Cholish at UFC on FX 8 (Jaraguá do Sul, SC).

Polish Hallmann, 26, has two wins and one loss in the UFC, with a 15-2 record on his professional record. He has also worked in Brazil, finishing massaranduba at UFC Fight Night 28, in Belo Horizonte (MG). In his last fight, another submission, over the veteran Yves Edwards in June.

Another fight announced for UFC Fight Night 51 will be between the runner-up of TUF Brasil 1, Geoffrey Pepey, and Dashon Johnson. Pepey He shook off his bad form by knocking out Noad Lahat in March, in Natal, while Johnson lost in his UFC debut to Jake matthews.
