Contrary to what was reported this Monday on several specialized websites, the Brazilian Gesias Cavalcante will not face Eddie Alvarez at Dream 11. According to a report from the Sherdog portal, the American has an exclusive contract with the Bellator event, which would prevent the fight. The athlete's manager, Mont Cox, informed the website that he didn't even receive an official offer for the confrontation.
“We have an agreement with Bellator,” he said. “I don't know if it (an offer to fight Gesias) came, it wasn't offered to me, but we can't do it contractually. Now, if Bellator wants to sign a off and release, maybe it could happen, but I don’t see that as possible”, concluded the manager.
