The fourth edition of WOCS takes place this Thursday (June 25), at Clube Oásis, in Barra da Tijuca (RJ), and the organization is taking special care with the arbitration. In the last event there was a doubt about the use of Vaseline by one of the athletes and, after some complaints, supervision will be strong regarding this.
“On Wednesday we will weigh in, at 12pm, and we will give the athletes all the rules and punishments in case of problems of this type and others. The organization will be responsible for applying Vaseline to the fighters when they enter the ring, as the UFC does. If we notice that someone used Vaseline outside the rules, disqualification will be automatic. Fouls like this and others that we will announce at the weigh-in will have a discount on the athletes' scholarships”, says Muzio de Angelis, the person responsible for conducting the main fights of WOCS 4.
A black belt in jiu-jitsu and champion of several titles in the sport, Muzio is one of the main referees at CBJJ. In MMA, in addition to having performed in the ring, he has worked at events such as Fury FC and The Glory.
Tickets for WOCS are on sale at a 50% discount with the presentation of a student ID or promotional flyer, which will be easily found. The VIP area, with an open buffet, costs R$ 180 (R$ 90 half) and the ticket is a shirt (mandatory to wear). The common chair will be sold for R$80 (R$40 half). Grandstand tickets are almost sold out.
