One of the most exciting looks of recent times. Only in this way is it possible to define the explosive encounter between Conor McGregor e Diego Brandao after the official weigh-in for UFC Fight Night 46, in Dublin (Ireland), this Friday (18). The home athlete already set the tone for what would happen by throwing his cap at Diego as soon as he stepped onto the stage set up at the O2 Arena. After making weight calmly, the fighters had to be restrained by Dana White, but they were left trying to find their way amid the manager's intervention.

After reaching 66 kg, Diego Brandao he got into the spirit of the dispute and shouted at the top of his lungs against his opponent. “I will destroy the Conor McGregor tomorrow and take this victory to Brazil”, said the Brazilian in the post-weigh-in interview. But McGregor, who had weighed 66,2 kg, didn't let it go. Known for his irreverence, the Irishman snatched the microphone from the interviewer's hand and alerted not only Diego, but the entire division. “Tomorrow I’m going to cut off his head and take that of each of the featherweights as well,” he said.

Home athlete takes selfie with the public and North American opens the event by losing weight

Fighting at home, TUF 19 participant Cathal Pendred had no trouble making weight. But what really caught our attention was the Irishman's attitude. Pendred excited the fans present at the O2 Arena by entering with an Irish flag and even took the opportunity to take a selfie with the public after putting in the weight. At the event, Cathal faces his reality show partner Mike King, with whom he had a tense confrontation.

The first fighter to step on the scale, North American Josh Sampo already opened the event losing weight. The St. Charles MMA fighter weighed around 200 g above the flyweight category limit, but he shouldn't have any problems reaching 57 kg (already including the pound tolerance for non-belt fights) in the next hour, an extra period granted to athletes who do not make the weight on the first attempt.
