UFC 177, which will take place on August 30th in Sacramento, California, United States, will feature two title fights. This Tuesday (15), it was announced that the co-main event of the night will be the flyweight belt dispute between the champion, Demetrious Johnson, and Chris Cariaso.

This will be the fifth title defense for Johnson, who won the title in September 2012. Since then, “Mighty Mouse” has defeated John Dodson, John Moraga, Joseph Benavidez and, more recently, Ali Bagautinov. His last defeat came in the top category, in the bantamweight division, when he was defeated by the then champion Dominick Cruz in October 2011.

He was scheduled to face Kyoji Horiguchi at UFC Fight Night Japan in September, but left the fight to fight for the title. His last defeat was in May 2013, when he lost to the Brazilian Jussier formiga in Jaraguá do Sul (SC).

The main fight of UFC 177 will be a bantamweight title fight between TJ Dillashaw e Renan Barao. The American will make his first title defense against the athlete he defeated to win the belt, in May.
