Cyborg loses by judges' decision at Strikeforce

In a fairly even fight Cyborg Evangelist ended up defeated by the American Joey Villasenor in the main fight at Strikeforce Challengers, held last night in the city of Kent, in the United States.

The fight started with a lot of striking, with the Brazilian landing better blows, but with a takedown Villasenor ended the round on top, punishing the chuteboxer. In the second round, the fight was on the feet all the time with a slight advantage for the American. In the third round, Cyborg got the takedown and worked on ground and punch, winning the round. At the end of the confrontation, the judges decided that Villasenor would win in a split decision.

Another Brazilian on the card was Jorge Gurgel, who was named Conor Heun in the judges' decision. Check out the full results:
