the american Chris Weidman, who had recently said that he would like to spend his summer vacation in the United States with his family, will enjoy his rest with more money in his pocket after UFC 175. In addition to defeating the Brazilian Lyoto Machida in the main fight and retain the middleweight belt, Weidman earned the biggest salary of the night, with wages worth US$450 (almost R$1 million, at current prices). The amount is more than twice as high as that paid to Machida, who took home US$200 (around R$440).
After the protagonists of the main fight, the highest paid of the event were Urijah faber and the women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey. Each of them earned US$120 (approximately R$265). From then on, the gap for other salaries is very large, and the person who appears next is Kenny Robertson, with salaries of US$28 (around R$60).
