After the controversial defeat to Mirko cro cop, this Saturday at UFC-99, the Lebanese Mustapha Al Turk will appeal the decision of the referee who did not stop the fight after the fighter was hit in the eye.
“We’re going to appeal, we don’t think the technical knockout was correct. The referee should have seen the finger in the eye,” said Ken Pavia, Al-Turk’s manager. “Watch the fight between Henderson and Franklin (at UFC-93). Franklin had a break when his eye was shot.”
“As the fight took place in Germany, we are not sure what action to take, but we will appeal in writing and see what we can do,” added Pavia.
