UFC-99: Rich defeats Wand in an even fight

UFC-99 recently ended in Cologne, Germany. In the main fight of the night, a real battle. The fight started off quite studied, with Wand dominating the center of the octagon and applying better blows. Halfway through the first round, the Brazilian lands a good takedown and tries to punish the American with ground and pounch. Franklin's only good moment in this round came in the final seconds, when Wanderlei unsuccessfully attempted a guillotine choke, giving up guard to his opponent who he punished with strong punches. In the second round, a lot of balance. In the initial moments Rich dominated the fight with good jabs, but with a strong combination of punches, Silva punished the former middleweight champion, however, when he demonstrated superiority Wand felt the American's attacks again in the final seconds. In the last round, Franklin started better, connecting good blows, but Wanderlei was on top the whole time. Wand rocked Franklin again with a knee from the clinch, but Rich recovered, landed some blows again and ended the round by putting the Brazilian down and hitting him from inside his guard.
