The defeat suffered by Vitor belfort won't get out of your head Luke Rockhold. The North American, ranked fifth in the official UFC rankings in the middleweight category, stated that the rematch with the Brazilian would be one of the few fights that would make sense for the current moment in his career.

In an interview with the North American broadcaster “FOX Sports”, Rockhold named Belfort as his preferred next opponent. “I want Vitor. There aren't many fights for me at the moment. The big question is how long Vitor will be away”, commented Rockhold, referring to the Brazilian's anti-doping controversy, which will be judged soon.

Another Rockhold option would be Ronaldo Jacare, whom he already defeated in 2011. However, the Brazilian already has a fight scheduled, against Gegard Mousasi, In August. “I think Jacaré and I had a close fight, but he is above me in the rankings, so I would like to resolve this situation,” he said.

Rockhold is currently recovering from a foot injury, but plans to return to the Octagon soon. “I want to fight soon. September would be ideal, but I could come back in August too,” he said.
