UFC 176, which features a featherweight title fight between José Aldo e Chad Mendes as the main fight, he won a weighty co-main fight. On Tuesday night (17), the Ultimate organization confirmed that the Brazilian Ronaldo Jacare will face the Armenian-Dutch Gegard Mousasi at the event on August 2nd, in Los Angeles (USA).
For Jacaré, the duel is a rematch of the fight held in 2008 at DREAM 6 and won by Mousasi, by technical knockout, after landing a pedal to the Brazilian. After this fight, interestingly, both athletes went to Strikeforce and became champions in the new organization, Ronaldo in the middleweights and Mousasi in the light heavyweights.
At 34, Ronaldo Jacare He has a professional record of 20 wins, three losses and one unsuccessful fight. The Brazilian debuted in the UFC in May 2013 and is undefeated in the three fights he has had in the main MMA organization on the planet. Already Gegard Mousasi, 28 years old, has a record of 35 wins, four losses and two fights without result. As an Ultimate athlete, Mousasi has two wins and one loss, to Lyoto Machida at UFC Jaraguá.
UFC 176 takes place on August 2nd, at Staples Center, in Los Angeles (USA). In the main fight of the night, José Aldo puts the only Brazilian Ultimate belt on the line against the North American challenger Chad Mendes. In addition to Aldo and Jacaré himself, four other Brazilians are confirmed for the event card: Bethe Correia, which faces Shayna Baszler; Jussier formiga, who faces Zach Makovsky; Fabrício Morango, who faces Gray Maynard; and Walmir Lazaro, who duels with James Vick.
