In recent weeks, the light heavyweight champion Jon Jones was the target of strong pressure from fans to accept the rematch against the Swede Alexander Gustafson – although he had declared several times that he preferred to face Daniel Cormier. For Jones himself, the demonstrations were encouraged by the UFC, which, according to the athlete, used “bullying” techniques to force him to accept the duel.

“I kind of identified it as an arm wrestling technique on their part, trying to get the fans to push for the fight and announcing it prematurely. It's not that I didn't sign a contract, I hadn't heard that date before. I thought it was unprofessional, that they used bullying techniques,” said Jones, in an interview with “The MMA Hour” podcast.
