For Justin gaethje, it's not just the 'BMF' belt that will be at stake in the main fight of UFC 291. 'The Highlight' made it clear that he wants to take revenge for the defeat suffered by Dustin poirier in 2018 and promised to do his best in the octagon to achieve this goal. “I’m a competitor, so I always want the chance to make up for a loss. I lost to this guy before and I can't go 0-2. Being the competitor that I am, I will not accept that. I will give my all, as I always do. I’m going to give maximum effort and try to be perfect,” Gaethje said.

The first duel between Poirier and Gaethje took place in May 2018. On that occasion, 'Diamante' got the better of 'The Highlight' and knocked out his rival in the fourth round.

The expected rematch will take place in the main fight of UFC 291, scheduled for this Saturday (29). This time, the winner of the clash will take home the 'BMF' belt (more thick-skinned), previously held by Jorge masvidal. The show will be held at Vivint Arena, in Salt Lake City, Utah (USA).
