Even after the turbulent episodes of the week leading up to TUF Brasil 3, when Wanderlei Silva ended up being cut from the duel against Chael Sonnen for refusing to carry out mandatory anti-doping tests by the Nevada Athletic Commission, the presence of the “Crazy Dog” was expected at the Ibirapuera Gymnasium for fight night, last Saturday (31). However, Wand did not attend the arena and preferred to watch the event in a bar in the city of Curitiba (PR).

The absence of Wanderlei, who had his name booed by the public during the interview Antonio Shoe Guy in the Octagon, was felt by the vice-president of the UFC in Brazil, Grace Tourinho, in her words at the press conference after the event. “I was expecting his presence and he didn’t show up, that’s the only information I have. He really didn’t come,” said the leader. On your official profile on Twitter, the fighter presented a different version of the organization. When asked why he was not present at Ibirapuera, Wand was direct in his response. “I was removed from the official schedule”, he claimed.

Despite all the confusion, Wanderlei Silva remained active on social media during the TUF finals, replicated several messages of support from fans and commented on the participation of his team's athletes in the night's card. "Congratulations Ricardo Demente for bringing this important victory to our team. We put all our chips on you, our Samurai, and you accomplished the mission”, he published, celebrating Demente’s triumph over Wagnão on the preliminary card. “Congratulations to Shoe Face and Vitor miranda. You gave us an incredible fight. What a fight! We want them both in the UFC now. Thank you very much!”, he wrote about the heavyweight final, won by the athlete on his team on the reality show.
