In a quick and fulminating presentation, the North American of Croatian descent Stipe Miocic imposed the first knockout of Fábio Maldonado's long career. With just 35 seconds of the main fight of TUF Brasil 3 Final, Miocic landed a powerful right on his opponent and just applied a few more strikes on the ground to end the fight, which took place last Saturday (31) in São Paulo (SP).
Maldonado had entered the fight in place of Junior Gypsy, Miocic's original opponent, who had fractured his hand during his preparation for the fight. Even with little time to prepare, the “Caipira de Aço”, who originally works as a light heavyweight, accepted the duel and moved up to the heavyweight division to face the North American. In the confrontation, however, the Brazilian didn't even have time to show his performance in the new category.
