Lyoto Machida fights for the belt today at UFC-98

Rashad evans vs. Lyoto Machida

Everything ready in Las Vegas, in the United States for UFC-98. The show that features as its main attraction the light heavyweight title fight between the undefeated Rashad evans and the Brazilian Lyoto Machida.

Current champion of the category, Evans shows confidence for the fight.

“This is my moment to shine,” said Evans. “I worked hard to get this title and I'm not going to give it up.” I have a lot of respect for Machida and I know we will give the fans an excellent fight, but I also know that he will get the best out of me on Saturday, May 23rd,” said Rashad.

Lyoto, on the other hand, comments on his expectations for what he says will be the most important fight of his life.

“I'm excited to fight Rashad, this is the biggest fight of my life,” said Machida. “I have come a long way and I will give it my all. I am extremely honored to be part of UFC history. This was something I dreamed about and it's finally becoming real. I’m fighting to be champion of the light heavyweight category”, said the athlete.

The show will also feature a duel between the enemies Matt hugs vs. Matt serra on the main card, in addition to the brazuca Andre Gusmao who will attempt to rehabilitate the octagon in preliminary fights against the naturalized Polish-Canadian Krzysztof Soszynski. Check out the full Card:
