The heavyweight category always provides MMA fans with some of the sport's most devastating knockouts, as well as incredibly fast-paced fights. But Romanian Marian Rusu outdid himself. He took 3,5 seconds to land a left hook on the chin of Welsh rival Ben Schneider on the canvas and claim victory in the event Ultimate Challenge MMA 39, held in London. The milestone granted Rusu the record for the fastest knockout in the history of the 120 kg division.

Despite this feat, Rusu has a modest record of four wins and four losses. Interestingly, he suffered all of his losses early in his career and has since won his last four fights. On the UCMMA 39 card, the Romanian occupied a discreet place on the card, having the eighth fight of the 15 scheduled. In the main fight of the London event, Brazilian bantamweight based in England Luiz Henrique Tostão beat Englishman Carl Orriss by submission.
