Matt Brown outlined ambitious plans after defeat Erick silva at UFC Fight Night 40, held last Saturday (10) in Cincinnati, United States. The North American, who asked UFC president Dana White for a chance to fight for the title, guaranteed that he would knock out the champion, John hendricks, and would take the belt.
In an interview with the “Great MMA Debate” podcast, Brown stated that Hendricks would not be able to withstand the punishment if he hit him as often as he did. Robbie Lawler. “I definitely don’t think I would go to the decision. Like I've said 100 times, there's no way I could hit him multiple times and not knock him out. He won't stand if I hit him like Robbie Lawler got it right. I’m a precise exchanger,” said Brown, who, however, pondered:
“I hate having to eat my own words, because I hit Erick silva several times, he didn't fall and the fight lasted three rounds, but I need to get back to my routine. I can knock him out, I guarantee it”, concluded Brown.
With the victory over Erick silva, Matt Brown reached seven consecutive victories in Ultimate – against Chris Cope, Stephen Thompson, Luis Beição, Mike Swick, Jordan Mein, Mike pyle and, of course, Erick silva. The North American, who was part of the Forrest griffin in TUF 7, he now has a record of 19 wins and 11 losses as a professional in MMA.
