After the controversial case of Mackenzie dern, a new episode of domestic violence has surfaced in the world of combat sports. Through her Instagram, multi-time jiu-jitsu champion Gabi Garcia published screenshots of messages, photos and videos and accused her ex-husband Bruno Almeida of abuse and death threats over the last few years.

My mission is to help more women not suffer in silence. I had serious health problems on my own. I suffered so much abuse that only those who are with me understand. Bills, emails, cards! No money will pay for the trauma he left on me and my family! I will not give up putting you in jail and forever remembering your daughter: 'abuser'. I spent two years keeping quiet and getting beaten up. Your time has come”, concluded the fighter.
One of the biggest names in jiu-jitsu history, Gabi Garcia is a nine-time world champion, four-time ADCC champion and 11-time Pan-American gold medalist. In MMA, the fighter from Rio Grande do Sul was part of the squad at the Japanese event RIZIN and has an MMA record of six wins, one draw and one no-contest.
