'Upset', Miocic wishes Cigano a good recovery and says he is open to fighting in São Paulo

The North American fighter still doesn't know if he will be kept on the TUF Brasil 3 Finale card at the end of the month

The injury of junior gypsy, who will no longer be able to take part in the main fight of the TUF Brasil 3 Finale, in São Paulo, saddened a large part of the country's MMA fans. However, those who felt the news the most were Stipe Miocic, who was scheduled to face the former heavyweight champion at Ginásio do Ibirapuera, on May 31st.

In your official account at Twitter, the American of Croatian descent was upset with the news, but wished Cigano a good recovery. “Saddened by the news. I wish Junior dos Santos a good recovery”, wrote the fighter.

The UFC has not yet commented on what it will do regarding the main fight of the event. Miocic stated, however, that he is open to any decision the organization makes. “I'm not sure where things stand, but whatever the UFC wants, I'm in,” he said.

Miocic, 31 years old, is currently number seven in the official UFC rankings. He comes from victory over Roy Nelson e Gabriel Napao in his last fights, with a record of 11 triumphs and just one defeat – to Stefan struve, in September 2012.

Cigano, in turn, is second best placed in the heavyweight category. In his last fight, he lost to Cain Velazquez during the division's title fight in October last year.
