Wilson reis is out of Bellator Fighting's featherweight GP. The black belt ended up defeated, this Friday, by Joe soto, in the unanimous decision of the judges, in the semi-finals of the tournament. The setback cost the Brazilian the loss of his seven-fight unbeaten run. Soto's opponent in the grand final will be Yahir Reyes, who knocked out Estan Payan. For his super fights, the Brazilian Luis Palomino recovered from the defeat suffered in April by defeating Nick Gonzalez by technical knockout in the first round.
Also planned on the show was a fight between the black belt Serginho Moraes and the American Jeff Messina, but the duel ended up not being held. The reason for the cancellation was not disclosed by the event organizers. Check out the other results:
