André Galvão replaces Drysdale in the Super Challenge

The Jiu-Jitsu world champion and third place in the ADCC 2007 under 76kg, André Galvão, has just been announced by the Super Challenge Grappling organization. Galvão was chosen to replace the 2007 ADCC absolute champion Robert Drysdale, who had to undergo surgery due to a knee injury and had to give up his
dispute. “While we are saddened by the news of the injury
from Drysdale, we are very happy with André Galvão’s entry. Who doesn't remember the memorable fights between Leo Vieira and Mark Kerr or Marcelo Garcia and Ricco Rodrigues. We are sure that Galvão will fight on equal terms for this absolute title”, highlights Paulo Vasconcellos, the event promoter.

Straight from the United States, where he is living to sharpen the floor Wanderlei Silva, Galvão celebrated the invitation and promised to do his best at the event. “I'm very happy to be part of a big event like the Super Challenge. I’m going with everything I can to win this title”, guarantees Galvão. Confirmed for next December 8th, at the luxurious club Athletico Paulistano, in São Paulo, the Super Challenge Grappling will bring together 16 fighters from all over the world in the biggest absolute Submission event ever held.
