In the last days, Vitor belfort has declared that he is ready to return to the octagon after time away due to changes in regulations and the end of exemptions for the use of TRT and even asked for the fight against Chris Weidman in July, from which it had been withdrawn due to the decision on hormone replacement. Belfort's optimism, however, is not matched by UFC president Dana White, who tried to contain his temper and state that the Brazilian is not that close to fighting again.

“He (Vitor) has to resolve his problems with the Nevada Athletic Commission and, when he does that, we can find a way. He better work (if he wants to fight in July). He has a lot of work to do. This sh*t just doesn't happen this way. You have to fit into the agenda, and he has a lot of work to do”, said the manager to the “MMA Junkie” website.

According to Dana, Vitor needs approval from the Nevada Athletic Commission to work, even in other places. “Belfort is kidding himself if that's really what he thinks, that all he has to do is do some home tests and it's ready to go, or whatever he's done. He's always fun. He’s hilarious,” he stated. “He will apply to the Nevada Athletic Commission, and only then will he be able to fight anywhere (if approved),” he concluded.

Without fighting since November last year, when he knocked out Dan Henderson at UFC Goiânia, Vitor belfort He still doesn't know when he'll return to the Octagon.
