Barely finished defeating Glover Teixeira at UFC 172 and defend the light heavyweight belt for the seventh time and Jon Jones you already know your next opponent. Still in the press room after the triumph over the Brazilian, UFC president Dana White revealed that the Swede Alexander Gustafson will have the long-awaited rematch against the champion.

Gustafsson and Jones already faced each other at UFC 165, in September 2013. On that occasion, the Swede surprised the champion, imposed his standing game, avoided takedowns and was only overcome in a tight decision by the judges in a triple 48×47, in the North American's toughest battle in the Octagon. There is still no set date and location for the rematch.

As soon as the fight against Gustafsson was announced by Dana White, Jon Jones seemed to dislike the news after his triumph and preferred not to comment on the new challenger. “I’m not going to talk about that guy. I don't want to say anything about it now. I just want to enjoy the moment,” she said.
