In the three years he was away from the octagon, Henry Cejudo ventured as an MMA coach and helped big names in the sport stay active as Jon Jones, Deiveson Figueiredo, Weili Zhang and the Pitbull brothers. However, there is one fighter that 'Triple C' guaranteed he would never help: Conor McGregor. On the 'media day' of UFC 288, the current challenger for the bantamweight belt (up to 61,2kg) recalled the Irishman's insults to some friends and his manager.

“He offended a lot of my good friends... talking about Khabib's father, calling my manager a rat, a terrorist. That’s a little too much for me,” Cejudo said.

Cejudo's last professional fight took place in May 2020. At the time, in UFC 249, 'Triple C' knocked out the veteran Dominick Cruz in the second round and defended the bantamweight belt for the first (and last) time. Next Saturday (06), Henry will once again fight for the title of the under-61,2kg division, this time as a challenger. On the other side of the octagon will be the current champion aljamain sterling.
