In the year of the World Cup, football is the theme of practically all advertising campaigns by the biggest brands on the market. But this time, MMA was also remembered. This Friday (25), the sporting equipment giant Nike released on its official channel at YouTube the advertising video for its new campaign aimed at the World Cup, entitled “Winner stays” (“The winner stays”, in free translation), which features a small special appearance by Anderson Silva e Jon Jones, and which is starred by stars who will parade on Brazilian lawns.
The premise of the commercial is that ordinary people become great sports stars just by “invoking” their names. In such a way, any match between friends ends up becoming a duel between none other than Neymar, Cristiano Ronaldo, Eden Hazard, Wayne Rooney, Thiago Silva, David Luiz and many others. At one point, two fans begin to argue over a penalty. One claims that the marking was correct while the other says that the player threw himself. Immediately, the duo transforms into Jon Jones e Anderson Silva, featuring a tense confrontation – which many fans have dreamed of seeing in the Octagon.
