With a margin of almost 27 kg for athletes to fit in, heavyweights crossing the scales tend to be smooth and present large differences between athletes. This Friday (18), in Orlando (USA), the official UFC on FOX 11 weigh-in was no different. Protagonists of the main fight of the night, the heavyweights Fabricio Werdum and Travis Browne, who decide the next challenger to the champion Cain Velazquez On the night, they had no problems and made weight easily. The Brazilian, however, was six kilos below his rival's weight. While Browne weighed 111,3 kg for this Saturday's fight (19), Werdum weighed 105,4 kg.
Despite the ease in making weight, Browne and Werdum had a tense moment during the traditional face-off. The Brazilian frowned and placed his fists close to his rival's face. The Hawaiian responded with a fixed look at Fabrício until Dana White, president of the UFC, noticed the athletes, who had a shy open hand.
Those who also did not appear to have difficulty reaching the weight limit for their category were Edson Barboza. The Brazilian, who faces Donald Cerrone On the night, he used the extra pound he was entitled to and weighed 70,7 kg. A little earlier, in the fight that closes the preliminary card, Rafael dos Anjos e Khabib Nurmagomedov they arrived with the same weight, 70,5 kg, and confirmed the important fight for the lightweight division.

The first Brazilians to step on the scale in Orlando (USA) were Nova União athletes Hernani Perpétuo and Gaius Monster. The undefeated Perpétuo weighed 77,3 kg in his Ultimate debut and confirmed his fight against Jordan Mein in the welterweight division. Then, it was Caio “Monstro” Magalhães’ turn to reach the 84 kg limit of the middleweight category and guarantee himself in the duel against Luke Zachrich.
