The UFC made official, this Wednesday (9), the main fight of the 174th event, which will be held on June 14th in Vancouver, Canada. Demetrious Johnson will once again put the flyweight belt on the line against challenger Ali Bagautinov.

The information had already recently been considered by the Russian press. With the confirmation of the fight, it will be the first time that Johnson will headline a pay-per-view, which are usually the main attractions of Ultimate.

“Mighty Mouse” won the flyweight title in September 2012, defeating Joseph Benavidez. Since then, he has made three defenses, including a rematch with Benavidez which he won by knockout. He is currently ranked fifth in the UFC's weight-for-pound rankings, behind only Jon Jones, José Aldo, Renan Barao e Cain Velazquez.

Bagautinov, in turn, has a shorter history within the UFC. Until then, the Russian had three fights in the organization, three of which were victories, including over Brazilian Marcos Vinícius “Vina” (technical knockout) and, more recently, John Lineker (decision).

UFC 174 will also feature the Brazilian Daniel sarafian, who faces Kiichi Kunimoto, in addition to the welterweight clash Rory McDonald e Tyron woodley, which should define the next challenger for the belt.
