The agreement between the UFC and its muse Gina Carano, who was away from MMA while dedicating herself to her film career, is getting closer and closer to happening. According to journalist Ariel Helwani, from the “MMA Fighting” website, a meeting between Carano and Ultimate President Dana White is scheduled for this Wednesday night (09).

The agenda for the meeting was not revealed, but the fighter herself had already anticipated her excitement in an interview given to the program “The Arsenio Hall Show” last Thursday (3). “I love the idea (of fighting again). It's something I can accomplish and make everything else go away. I dream with this. I just didn't know if I would have the opportunity to make my comeback. So either I'm coming back now or I'm going to retire and say, 'I'm never going to do that.' So now is the time,” Gina said at the time.

At 31 years old, Gina Carano has a record of seven wins and just one loss. The muse suffered the only setback of her career precisely in her last fight, when she was knocked out by the Brazilian Chris Cyborg in the fight for the inaugural belt in the women's featherweight category of the now defunct Strikeforce. Since then, Gina has dedicated herself to her career in Hollywood, where she has starred in two films: “A Toda Prova”, from 2011, and the recently released in the USA “In the Blood”, still without an official title in Brazil. Furthermore, Carano participated in the sixth film in the Fast and Furious franchise, playing the character Riley.
