ex-partner of Anderson Silva on the Chute Boxe team, Wanderlei Silva criticized the UFC champion's stance in his last title defenses. For Wand, Spider's stance was disrespectful to the public who waited for the Brazilian's title defense.
“Disrespect once again! Disrespect for the public and that's bad for the UFC, because everyone waits to see a great show. If you are in the main event, you have a great responsibility, as the fans pay to see (the fights) and this (Anderson's performance) is bad for the sport”, said Wand, who commented on a possible confrontation against his former teammate .
“He won't want to play with me, because if he puts his hands down (like he did against Cote and Thales), I'll beat him”, he concluded.
