Em situação instável no Ultimate, Ariane Lipski não se intimido e teve performance de gala no UFC Las Vegas, held this Saturday (11). Back at flyweight (up to 56,7kg), the Brazilian 'outperformed' in her commitment against the experienced JJ Aldrich. In three disputed rounds, the Curitiba native gave her opponent no chance and was declared the winner in a unanimous decision by the judges.

With the victory, Lipski breathes in the company. Before fighting in UFC Las Vegas, the athlete had accumulated three setbacks in the last five appearances.

Ariane's victim, Aldrich had the warning signal turned on. With the stumble, the North American suffered her second consecutive defeat.

No scares

The confrontation began with the athletes rehearsing a frank exchange in the first minute. The fight was tense. Halfway through the stage, Aldrich looked for a takedown, but the Brazilian defended herself well. Ariane managed to move away and launch long-range attacks. While Lipski bet on striking, the American made clear her plan to use grappling. With three minutes gone, Lipski managed to get away and launched a high shot, which exploded into the opponent's guard. In the final seconds, Ariane rocked Aldrich with a straight shot, but there was no more time.

In the second round, the athletes saved their attacks. Lipski was betting on long-range strikes and JJ wanted to shorten the range to hold on to the Brazilian. Ariane remained better in the confrontation, launching specific attacks and frustrating her opponent's attacks. The stage ended with a new takedown attempt by JJ, but it was well defended by the Tupiniquim.

The last round started with a similar script to the previous rounds. At long range, Lipski was effective and touched her opponent with jabs and straight shots. At a disadvantage, Aldrich was unable to nullify the Tupiniquim strategy, and appeared apathetic in the confrontation. With two minutes remaining, Aldrich closed the distance and managed to hang on to the Tupiniquim, attempting a takedown. Pressed against the bars, Lipski protected herself and avoided her opponent's advance. After trying so hard, it was Aldrich who ended up falling after the Brazilian's attack. In the final seconds, the athletes moved away and began exchanging attacks in the center of the Octagon. The stage ended with a beautiful takedown by Lipski.
