TUF Brasil 3: 'Cara de Sapato' knocks out Edgard Magrão and Wand's team scores 2-0 over Sonnen

Antonio Shoe Guy is the first semi-finalist among the heavyweights of TUF Brasil 3. In the fourth episode of the program, shown late this Sunday night (30), the athlete from the Wanderlei Silva knocked out Edgard Magrão, from the team of Chael Sonnen, in just 12 seconds and achieved the second triumph for the Brazilian coach. With the result, Silva's team opens 2-0 against rival Sonnen.

Hortência and Isabel lead special training

Before the fight between Shoe Face and Magrão, guest coaches Isabel and Hortência gave special training to the fighters. For Wand's team, Isabel asked the athletes to form a circle and threw some volleyballs so that they could throw them to each other without dropping them. According to Isabel, the objective of the training was to improve the fighters' panoramic vision.

Hortência put a vest on each fighter's back and, while they were hitting a basketball, they had to take off their partner's piece. According to the former basketball player, the training aimed to show that in addition to attacking, athletes must worry about defending.

After Hortência and Isabel trained to assist Sonnen and Silva, respectively, the coaches led their training. Wand stepped up the stand-up game Shoe Face, while Chael explained several takedown defenses to his charges.

The fight

Specialist in ground fighting, Shoe Face surprised Edgard Magrão in a sensational way. As soon as the fight started, the jiu-jitsu world champion closed the distance and unleashed a powerful straight shot, taking his rival to the ground in just five seconds. Without wasting time, the representative of Wand's team threw several punches on top until the referee stopped the fight after just 12 seconds.

Wand continues with the power of choice

After the triumph of Shoe Face, the teams went out of the house in a valid dispute for the right to choose the next fight. On a mud field, a representative from each team had to push a giant ball into the opponent's goal. The first to score would be the winner and their team could fight the next fight.

On Sonnen's side, Marcos Foot was the representative, while Jollyson Sosaleta was the one chosen by Wand. Despite Pezão being stronger, Silva's athlete managed to do better, score the goal and maintain the right to choose fights in Wanderlei's team.

Next program

In the fifth episode of TUF Brasil 3, another fight between middleweights takes place and, according to the preview of the edition, Wanderlei Silva e Chael Sonnen they will have another fight. The American accused Wand of being late for recording because he was drunk.
