A clash between generations of reality TV The Ultimate Fighter will take place on June 7th, in Albuquerque (USA). The Ultimate organization announced that the TUF 1 champion Diego Sanchez will face TUF 9 winner Ross Pearson at UFC Fight Night 42.
For Diego Sanchez, who is coming off two consecutive defeats, against Gilbert Melendez and Myles Jury, the fight is a chance to rehabilitate in front of his fans. This is because the athlete is from the city of Albuquerque and trains at “Jackson's MMA”, a gym also located in the main city in the state of New Mexico. Sanchez has a professional record of 24 wins and seven losses.
Ross Pearson has a record of 15 wins, six losses and one fight without result. After two consecutive victories, over George Sotiropoulos and Ryan Couture, the Englishman suffered an illegal knee from Melvin Guillard and the confrontation ended in a I didn't answer. A rematch was scheduled for UFC London, but Pearson ended up getting injured and was forced to leave the card.
UFC Fight Night 42 takes place on June 7th, at Tingley Coliseum, in Albuquerque (USA). In the main fight of the night, former lightweight champion Ben henderson faces Russian Rustam Khabilov. In addition to the main event and the duel between Pearson and Sanchez, three other fights have already been announced for fight night: John Dodson x John Moraga, Bobby Voelker x Lance Benoist and Sergio Pettis x Yaotzin Metza.
