Current UFC light heavyweight champion and first place in the weight-for-pound rankings, Jon Jones He is one of the most feared athletes in MMA today. At 26 years old, the fighter has important victories over names like Mauritius Shogun, Lyoto Machida, Vitor belfort, Quinton jackson, Rashad evans e Alexander Gustafson. However, there is someone who guarantees that he has faced Jones several times and has never been defeated: his older brother, Arthur Jones.
Arthur, a year older than Jon, is a professional football player, having recently transferred to the Indianapolis Colts. In an interview with the North American television channel NBC, the athlete assured that he has the better of his brother. “You can record it, and you can tell him I said that, I would finish him off. It's no secret. He himself will say that I, as his older brother, never lost a fight to him. Our last fight was a year or two ago, and I never lost,” said Arthur.
“I have to recognize that this is what he does for a living, he fights in the UFC and is a world champion. But I'm smart enough to know that I need to fight him in a closed environment, without much space, where he can't throw kicks and punches. But I was never bad. Not to brag, but I was a two-time wrestling champion. I'm not bad. I can say that I know how to take care of myself”, added the player, who is 1,91 m tall and weighs 143 kg.
In 2011, Jon even stated that Arthur would be one of the best in the UFC and would beat Cain Velazquez if he dedicated himself fully to MMA. In addition to Arthur, Jon has another brother who plays as a professional American football player: Chandler Jones, 24, currently with the New England Patriots.
