On October 05th, Marvel Stadium, in Melbourne (AUS) hosted the UFC 243. In the main fight, the New Zealander Robert whittaker made his second defense of the middleweight belt (up to 83,9kg) after two wars against the veteran Yoel romero. In front of him was the then-prospect and interim champion Israel adesanya, which came from victory over Kelvin Gastelum.
No UFC 243, Adesanya delivered one of the biggest nights of his career as an MMA professional. Right at the entrance, the Nigerian, along with a trio of dancers, walked towards the octagon doing a version of HAKA, a traditional war dance from the New Zealand tribes. In the octagon, the show continued and the 'Stylebender' dominated the fight and beat Whittaker with a brutal knockout in the second round.
Two Brazilians went up to the octagon at Marvel Stadium in UFC 243. Welterweight (up to 77,1kg) Dhiego Lima defeated Luke Jumeau via split decision and Brun Buldoguinho was submitted by Khalid Taha, in the third round.
