In the biblical story, Samson, possessor of superhuman strength, completely lost his powers when his hair was cut by Delilah. Judging from the religious side, Daniel Straus may start to worry. That's because, for the first time in many years, Bellator's featherweight champion will enter the cage without his traditional dreadlocks, with a vast head of hair full of dreadlocks. The decision to cut was motivated by Straus' difficulty in reaching the featherweight limit during the Bellator 112 weigh-in, this Thursday (13).

The fighter arrived for the duel against the scales with short hair and even had to use a towel to weigh himself naked. Even so, the champion was unable to reach 65,77 kg, remaining approximately 220 g above. On the other hand, his challenger, former champion Pat Curran, made weight easily, weighing in at 65,3 kg. Straus reached the limit of the category, which has no tolerance in valid title fights, only on his second attempt, hours later.
