Bellator announces Rampage x King Mo and Alvarez x Chandler 3 for May

The event will be the organization's first to take place on pay-per-view in the United States

Bellator will take an important step in its history at the event that will be held on May 17th, near the city of Memphis (United States). For the first time, your event will take place on the pay-per-view in the country, and for this, the organization will come with maximum strength.

Quinton Rampage Jackson will make the decision of the light heavyweight GP against his long-time rival, Muhammed “King mo” Lawal. The former UFC champion, born in Memphis, beat Christian M’Pumbu in the semifinals, while King mo got the better of Mikhail Zayats.

In the main fight of the night, Eddie Alvarez and Michael chandler they will complete the trilogy between them in a new fight valid for the lightweight belt. In the two previous fights, one victory for each side: in November 2011, Chandler won by submission, and, two years later, Alvarez got the change in the judges' decision.

Bellator would hold its first event in pay-per-view last year, on the card where Rampage would face another former UFC champion, Tito Ortiz. However, after the “Bad Boy of Huntington Beach” suffered a neck injury, the organization temporarily abandoned the idea.
