Yushin Okami finally has his first commitment in the World Series of Fighting confirmed. It will be on March 29th, in Las Vegas, in the United States, when he will face the Bulgarian Svetlozar Savov.
Okami will have his first fight outside the UFC since 2006. In the biggest MMA organization in the world, the Japanese achieved important victories over names like Alan belcher (twice), Evan Tanner, Mark Muñoz, Nate Marquardt and Hector Lombard, having even disputed the middleweight belt against Anderson Silva. In his last fight, however, he was knocked out by Ronaldo Jacare, which culminated in his departure from the UFC.
Savov, 25 years old, has a professional record of 12 wins and four losses, having beaten Serbian Bojan Velickovic in his last fight, in 2012.
The fight between Okami and Savov will be part of the WSOF 9 card, which will feature, in the main fight, a welterweight belt dispute between the champion, Steve Carl, and the Brazilian Rousimar Toquinho.
