In a card of nine fights, athletes from Brazil got the better of foreigners on six occasions

This weekend, the North American event Xtreme Fighting Championships (XFC), based in Tampa (Florida), made its debut in Brazil. The night of fights, held at the broadcaster’s headquarters TV network!, the organization's partner, in São Paulo (SP), had Brazilian athletes in all the fights and the hosts celebrated, winning the majority of the fights on the card.

In total, there were six victories between Brazilians over foreigners, two defeats and a clash between two local athletes. Coincidentally, both setbacks were suffered by fighters in the female category. Daiana Torquato was defeated by Venezuelan Mayelin Rivas in a unanimous decision by the judges and Bianca Daimoni was submitted by Argentina Silvana Juarez.

Brazilian supremacy also guaranteed that the champion of the XFC lightweight GP will necessarily be a fighter from the country, since, with the victories on the night, the four semifinalists of the tournament are from Brazil. In the main fight of the night, Thiago Minu from Rio Grande do Sul beat the American Clay French by technical knockout, in the first round.
