Caio Monstro faces TUF 17 semifinalist at UFC on Fox 11

Brazilian, jiu-jitsu specialist, will try for his third consecutive victory against Josh Samman

The UFC confirmed, this Thursday (6), another fight for UFC on Fox 11, an event that will take place on April 19, in Orlando, in the North American state of Florida.

Caio Magalhães, also known as “Monster”, will face the American Josh Samman. The Brazilian, whose highlight is his sharp jiu-jitsu, comes from two consecutive victories within the organization. He beat Karlos Vemola via submission in June, in Fortaleza, and beat Nick Ring via judges' decision in December, in Australia. His only loss came in his debut with the organization, to Buddy Roberts.

Samman was a participant in the 17th season of reality show The Ultimate Fighter, being commanded by the Jon Jones. He beat Tor Troeng in the knockout stage, by knockout, and Jimmy Quinlan in the quarter-finals, by submission, but was defeated by Kelvin Gastellum in the semi-final. His only official fight in the UFC was in April 2013, when he beat his former colleague in the reality show Kevin Casey, by technical knockout. Overall, their record is ten wins and two losses.

Magalhães was the fourth Brazilian confirmed at UFC on Fox 11. On the same night, Fabricio Werdum faces Travis Browne, Edson Barboza face Donald Cerrone e Rafael dos Anjos fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov.
