It was a show! Natan schulte, who was the second Brazilian on the preliminary card of PFL 10 2022, an event that takes place this Friday (25), adopted a strategic takedown game and applied a katagatame to overcome Jeremy Stephens by submission in the second round. The confrontation was valid in the lightweight division (up to 70,3kg.)
Natan then ends 2022 in the PFL with two consecutive victories, after stopping in the first phase and failing to qualify for the playoffs. The 'Russo', who is two-time PFL champion, has a record of 23 positive results, five negative results and one draw.

Stephens, on the other hand, is a veteran and his record is becoming more complicated. The North American has a record of 29 triumphs and 21 setbacks. He took off his gloves in the cage and increased speculation about a possible retirement.

The two fighters started with everything, at a good pace and Schulte pinned Stephens to the ground. The Brazilian quickly passed through half guard and went for the katagatame. The American, however, tried to defend himself and, as time passed, he was even more suffocated. Natan continued with strong pressure, but did not do what was necessary to see his opponent give up.
Jeremy, however, resisted the pressure and eased up. Schulte didn't give up and tried to throw punches from above, as well as rehearsing lunges and putting pressure on the neck with a rear naked choke. The veteran, once again, made another save and kept the fight standing. In the second round, Natan insisted on takedowns and quickly transitioned to a choke. Stephens, this time, couldn't handle the pressure and withdrew.
