She breathed a sigh of relief. Months after being fired from the UFC due to constant weight problems, Aspen ladd debuted with victory in the PFL. Featured on the main card of this Friday's show (25), held in New York (USA), the North American didn't have an easy life, but she won the challenge against julia budd. After three rounds of ups and downs, the athlete was declared the winner in a split decision.

Former Bellator star Budd lost his second commitment to PFL gloves. Now, the Canadian continues without winning in the organization, with two stumbles in a row.

The fight

The confrontation began with Budd taking the initiative with a jab. Julia tried to surprise and threw combinations, which ended up in her opponent's guard. With just over a minute left, Aspen took advantage of her opponent's oversight and took the fight to the canvas. The American managed to get to the back and attempted a submission, while the former Bellator champion protected herself. Halfway through the stage, Ladd started attacking with ground and pound, attacking her opponent's head. As the minutes passed, Budd tried to react, but remained in a disadvantageous position. In the final minute, Julia tried to reverse the position, but there was no more time.

In the second round, the Canadian launched a straight shot, which stopped in her opponent's guard. Afterwards, the Canadian started to press Ladd against the bars. Aspen managed to reverse the position and tried to take down her opponent. As time passed, the clash continued to be truncated, with the fighters measuring strength close to the bars, but without force. In the final minute, the athletes moved away and rehearsed a frank exchange. Afterwards, they went back to the clinch, but the timer ran to zero.

In the last round, the athletes exchanged punches in the center of the decagon. Aspen tried to close the distance, but Budd touched more, due to his greater wingspan. With one minute played, Aspen was looking for a takedown, but Budd protected himself. Close to the end of the confrontation, the duel remained balanced, with the fighters exchanging attacks across the cage. The dispute ended with the athletes attacking each other with punches near the bars.
