It was not this time. A pleasant surprise for the Brazilian fans in the PFL heavyweight tournament (up to 120,2kg) in 2022, Matheus Buffa ended up being defeated in the grand final of the category tournament. Opponent of Before Delija, the Curitiba native accepted the open confrontation, but got the better of it and was severely knocked out in the first round.
With the result, Buffa loses the opportunity to wear the company's belt in his debut season. The Tupiniquim also doesn't take home the dream prize of US$1 million (around R$5,3 million).

The Brazilian's tormentor, Delija achieved his second triumph against the Curitiba native in the 2022 season. The new heavyweight king, the athlete had surpassed the Brazilian in his debut match.
In 2022, Ante had his second opportunity to wear the heavyweight belt. Last season, the Croatian had his first attempt, but ended up being beaten by Bruno Cappelozza.
