Serving a nine-month suspension after testing positive for high testosterone levels in the duel against Mark Hunt, in December, Antonio Pezão He took advantage of the downtime to completely recover from old injuries and return to his best form. The Brazilian underwent surgery on his left shoulder and commented on the procedure through his profile on Instagram.
“Hours after my shoulder surgery, I’m doing great. I will 100% be back! Thank you everyone for your support”, wrote Pezão on the social network. In just a few days, the image was liked more than two thousand times and the heavyweight received several messages of support, including from the welterweight William Patolino. “Good recovery, my friend,” said Patolino, runner-up in TUF Brazil 2.

The result, however, was reversed in a I didn't answer (fight without result) after the release of the event's anti-doping tests. Pezão was caught with high testosterone levels, resulting from poor administration of the TRT hormone replacement treatment.
