The participant of the first edition of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil Marcus Vinícius “Vina” is preparing to return to national events, after leaving the UFC after two consecutive defeats. The Curitiba native was scheduled to face Anderson “Berinja” in the main fight of Circuito Talent de MMA 6, on February 22nd.
For Vina, combat is the chance to recover from a negative sequence of three fights. After being defeated by Johnny Bedford and Ali Bagautinov in Ultimate, the Brazilian ended up suffering another setback against Japanese Taiyo Nakahara at the Rebel FC 1 event, on December 21st. The opportunity is even better for the bantamweight since he will be playing at home. This is because the MMA Talent Circuit 6 takes place at the Círculo Militar Gymnasium, in Curitiba (PR).
At 34 years old, Marcus Vina has a record of 20 wins, six losses and one draw. In the TUF house, Vina was eliminated in the quarter-final stage by Hugo Wolverine, but ended up returning to the program's tournament, as a substitute for the injured Rodrigo Damm. In the semi-final against Pepey, the Curitiba native was defeated again. Anderson “Berinja”, 28 years old, has a record of nine wins and one defeat. The São Paulo native comes from five consecutive victories, two of them on the Talent Circuit.
