Belfort is among those nominated for best fighter of the year at the 'World MMA Awards'

The Brazilian Vitor belfort was announced as one of the five nominees for the “Fighter of the Year 2013” ​​award at the “World MMA Awards”, an award given six years ago by the North American magazine “Fighters Only”. Until January 31st, Belfort will compete for the public's preference, through internet voting, with Chris Weidman, Demetrious Johnson, Urijah faber e Cain Velazquez.

Vitor also competes in the “Knockout of the Year” category, with the high kick he received Luke Rockhold on the canvas at the UFC in Jaraguá do Sul. In the same category, another high kick applied by a Brazilian also competes. This is the scam applied by Junior Gypsy em Mark Hunt. Furthermore, on the opposite side, the knockout suffered by Anderson Silva, in the first fight against Chris Weidman, is also among the nominees.
