The “Number 1 Fight Series”, an MMA event held in Cerro Cora, Argentina, on September 24th, recently went viral on social media, but not for a good reason. In the main fight of the night, between Raphael Cruz and Gustavo Bazan, the door gave way and both fighters “flew” out of the Octagon in a nasty fall.
The incident happened in the first moments of the fight. Gustavo Bazan connected with a jab and went into a takedown, taking Raphael Cruz to the octagon door. At the moment of contact, the door opened and the two fighters “flew” towards the ground.

Fortunately, both Gustavo Bazan and Raphael Cruz were fine after the incident. Still in the footage, it is possible to see Cruz getting up and walking back towards the octagon, while Bazan seems to have felt more of the fall, as he hit the stage around the octagon before falling to the ground.
After the incident, the duel between Gustavo Bazan and Raphael Cruz was declared “without result”.
